For those of you curious about my Fitted Flat design, I've decided to write about what it is and why I designed it.
The Fitted Flat is exactly what it says it is. When unfolded completely, you'll find that it resembles a rectangular prefold or flat style cloth diaper. It's made up of 2 layers of cotton flannel, sewn together, easy to clean, and fast drying. However, it has several features that we all love about fitted diapers: elastic around legs and waist to contain messes, snap closures for a secure fit.
I wanted a one-size diaper that really was, truly, a one-size diaper. So many of the so-called OS diapers are very bulky on tiny babies and too small for our super chunks and I knew I could figure a solution for that. If you take the insert out of diaper and fold it to the smallest setting, it has more than enough layers for your newbie and is quite small! But if you attach the insert and fold it to the largest possible setting, you will be amazed how BIG it gets! (I even tried it on my reluctant 5 year old son, which weighs over my suggested 40 lb max diaper range, and it fit perfectly!)
I wanted diaper constructed of all natural fibers. My daughter had very sensitive skin and constantly had rashes while cloth diapering her. It took me a while to realize she was sensitive to the suede cloth used as the stay-dry liner in a certain name brand diaper. As soon as I stopped using them, her rashes went away. I use 100% cotton flannel as the main construction of the diaper and a super soft and absorbent bamboo fleece for the insert.
Plus, did you know some of these benefits of natural fibers??
So, there it is. I'd love to answer any questions you might have about the Fitted Flat. Also, each diaper sold comes with a care and instruction card with a graphic tutorial on how to fold it. So, no need to fuss to figure it out!

- They can help set your newborn's natural clock. What that means is: baby sleeps, baby wets and CAN FEEL IT since it is not stay dry, wakes up and alerts you to change him, you feed him, baby goes back to sleep, cycle continues.
- Speaking of feeling wetness, babies and toddlers that are diapered using more natural fibers, can often potty train earlier since they are accustomed to feeling when they gone to the bathroom.
